WELCOME!

Welcome to the Graduate Tower at Site 4 — we hope you enjoy your time here!

The graduate student residence tower in the heart of Kendall Square provides 454 apartments, including 2-bedroom and 1-bedroom units that are prioritized for families with children, and efficiencies for single students. The building stands beside open space and possesses a host of common areas including quiet study spaces, a family lounge, a playroom, terraces, and multipurpose rooms. The building sits atop an underground parking garage and is anchored by the new MIT Admissions forum and welcome center; community, academic, and office space; as well as a childcare facility, which serves the entire MIT community and features an outdoor playground area that resident families may use.

This website is intended as a one-stop shop to help you get settled into the Site 4 community and to make the most of your experience at MIT. We hope that you will find this information helpful, and we welcome your questions, comments and/or concerns — so please do not hesitate to reach out to us at site4advisory@mit.edu.

This year we have the opportunity to resume gathering in person as a community. These thoughtful events will allow us to make connections and engage with each other in a fun environment.

Because our community is large it requires a lot of resources to fill it with life. I encourage you to consider joining our Board. The Board provides many opportunities for professional development such as Philanthropy, Event Planning, IT Support and Children’s Activities. I think you will find it rewarding to be a part of a mutually supportive group that promotes building leadership skills. Another perk, there are always great dinners at the Board Meetings. You will soon receive an email from our Board with an overview of its members and planned activities, which you are welcome to join.

Finally, I’ve provided some links to some of the many services that MIT offers below, and I encourage you to take advantage of these resources.

Personal and academic support

Financial assistance

I wish you all much success this academic year.

All my very best,
